COLCANNON
Welcome

We've been busy preparing our new orchestral piece "O'Toole and the Goose" which we will premeire with the Colorado Symphony on March 16, 2013. We have been talking for a long time about moving the storytelling side of our work (that started with "The Pooka and the Fiddler") into the orchestral realm and it's very gratifying to see that coming to pass.  "O'Toole and the Goose" is a 20 minute music and spoken word composition that tells the story of King O'Toole and his pet goose with themes of love, aging, sacrifice and... geese. You can watch a short video about the piece right here on the homepage. The concert with the CSO will also feature lots of other Colcannon compositions and arrangements of some audience favorites such as "Streets of our Town" and "Athens Hotel" We'd love to have you there.

There is an excellent new interview with Mick in the online magazine Tributaries. Many other fascinating stories on there as well!

The video below also features an interview on the beginnings of Colcannon.

There's some fun new stuff on Mick's blog as well- book reviews, recipes, etc

Also new is the Colcannon Gear store, where you can buy t-shirts and all kinds of things emblazoned with Colcannon artwork.
